How honest have you been to others about yourself?

When you had a trashy day and a casual friend asks about your day, you get yourself out from further explanation and lie for the sake of convenience.

When you don't want your family or friends to know your whereabouts or probe further into your darkest secrets, you lie for the sake of privacy.

When you see others having a better time, life, grades, boyfriend/girlfriend, adventures, you lie for the sake of peer pressure.

When you don't want others to worry about you and you think you can handle matters of your own very well, you lie even in the name of love and consideration for others.

There is a difference between privacy and dishonesty. And know something? There isn't a grey area when it comes to honesty. You either are honest or you're not. Even when you self-justify that you were half honest, it only just shows that half of it was entirely honest, and half of it was entirely not.

We gather that in these days, come on like seriously, it doesn't pay to be honest. It pays better to be street-wise, scheming, loaded, ambitious and daring. So, has being in the world made it so difficult for us to be honest, or have we made it so difficult for an honest man to maintain his honesty in this world?

I feel that if we were all to undergo an honesty test it's so sad that not one will ace it, not even myself. Why, don't people ever go crazy thinking and suspecting that the person talking to him or sitting beside him isn't totally truthful?

Fortunately for me, I have someone with me who has never not been honest to me. His name is Abba Father. He is the only one I dare say and proclaim it out loud that He had never, has never and will never lie to me. Because that's His nature, His godly nature.

And, I'm working to be an honest girl.
